Book Review #1 - Saving Francesca by Melina Marchetta
“Just ask how I’m feeling, I want to say. Just ask and I may tell you.
But no one does.”
I think I was about fourteen when I read Saving Francesca. Back then, I used to think that any book without the element of fantasy or supernatural beings of any sort just wasn’t worth the effort. Needless to say, I was apprehensive about reading this.
I think I fell for this book by the tenth page.
Marchetta’s voice is just so unique, so honest. It was so, so easy to emphatise with Francesca andI loved every single supporting character, even with all their flaws. It’s one of those books that stays with you long after you’ve read it.
It’s absolutely perfect, and I’d give it a hundred stars if I could.
